Kool Tack 2.5mm Acid-Free Dry Mount Board is a premium conservation-quality mounting board designed for permanently mounting photographs, fine art prints, posters and digital graphics. Manufactured with a rigid, high-density wood pulp core and a heat-activated dry mount adhesive, it produces a smooth, flat finish while helping to protect valuable artwork.
The board features an acid-free, lignin-free construction with a buffered pH of approximately 7.7 - 8.5 and a premium alpha-cellulose white paper backing. These conservation-grade materials make it suitable for professional framing, archival mounting and long-term display applications.

- Conservation-quality construction – Acid-free, lignin-free and pH buffered to help protect artwork, photographs and documents from deterioration over time.
- Low activation temperature (65°C–75°C) – Activates at lower temperatures than many conventional dry mount products, helping to minimise heat exposure for photographs, inkjet prints and fine art papers.
- Fast mounting cycle – Typical press times are approximately 15 to 20 seconds, depending on equipment, improving efficiency in professional framing and print finishing workshops.
- Reversible adhesive – The heat-activated adhesive can be reheated to allow careful repositioning if required, helping correct alignment or remove trapped dust during mounting.
- Non-tacky when cold – The adhesive remains dry before activation, reducing the risk of dust, fibres and debris contaminating the mounting surface.
- Smooth, rigid surface – The dense wood pulp core provides excellent rigidity and helps produce a consistently smooth finish without the surface texture sometimes associated with lower-quality mounting boards.
- Easy to cut and handle – Strong enough for professional workshop use while remaining easy to score and cut with standard manual or wall-mounted board cutters.
