We have a team dedicated to making sure that every decision we make has been considered from an environmental perspective.
We were thrilled to achieve 'Highly Commended' in the Sustainability category at the Family Business Awards 2023. This award represents the hard work of the entire Mainline team, inspiring further action and positive change - we can make a difference!

Our Operations
We have scrutinised how we work from customer journey paperwork to how we maintain our premises and grounds. We are always trying to find more ways to improve our environmental performance. For example we have made significant improvements with our recycling strategies and in our move towards fully recyclable and reusable packaging.
Our Partners
It is important that our partners share the same environmental and social values and objectives that we do. We are working hard with our distribution partners and suppliers to achieve an eco-responsible logistics and purchasing journey.

ISO14001 : 2015 Environmental Management Standard
We did it!
We have achieved certification of ISO14001:2015, the globally recognised environmental standard, in January 2023. Our accreditation provides assurance that we are committed to a programme of continual
improvement to assess and reduce all environmental aspects as a result of
our business, and their impacts.
We will now be auditted annually to ensure we are maintaining these standards.

PARTNERSHIP WORKING WITH HILLSIDE ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES
Mainline and it’s sister company, Husqui, commissioned Hillside Environmental Services in 2020 to evaluate our environmental impact and assess our carbon footprint.
This report helped to identify what we are doing well and where we can do better. Hillside recommended initiatives that have shaped our environmental policy, procedures and action plan.
Hillside are currently reassessing Mainline and Husqui's carbon footprint. This will help to establish how close we are to achieving our 2025 carbon neutral target.
